SCEE has confirmed to NowGamer that more damage features are set for Gran Turismo 5 'at a later date'
There has been some confusion over the damage modelling in the game with physical deformation definitely included, but question marks over the touted mechanical damage.
GT5 producer Kazunori Yamauchi responded to a tweet on Tuesday from a reviewer at Level 17 in the game asking whether mechanical damage was in fact included. "It will appear later," Yamauchi wrote, but still it wasn't clear if the developer meant later in the game or at a later date via an update.
“We hope to introduce even more damage features”
We can now confirm that Sony intends to add new features to Gran Turismo 5 "at a later". An SCEE representative told NowGamer this evening:
"We hope to introduce even more damage features at a later date and will provide an update on this as soon as we can."
It certainly sound as if Sony intends to release updates for the game in the near future. Look out for more when we get it.
